Welp, after 4 years of military training, grad school and working in a law firm, I know now that there is little room in life for things that do not inspire passion. Working in an office for 10-12 hours per day does not inspire passion. Sitting around with a bunch of Joes (post boot camp) does not inspire passion. For me, however, GOLF has always inspired passion. As has the love of my life, Kristina.
This is the story of my pursuits: a pursuit of a career on the PGA Tour, a pursuit of a life of love with the one I love, a pursuit of peace with the hand I have been dealt and the person that I am, a pursuit of a better me.
This has been inspired by one John Kelly, a fellow aspiring tour player that I began following as recently as this morning, upon finding his blog and feeling like I had just looked into a mirror and seen all that the game had made me.
I will start by saying this, as I hope this will serve as a foundation for this space, and for my life more generally...
We are always creating now what we will think of ourselves later. Every moment is evidence of who you are. This process is conscious, or not, but ever present. Choose what you will become... or just become.
I wish everybody the best, and thank you for taking the time.
For those interested, John Kelly's blog can be found at johnkelly-jk.blogspot.com. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt might be a more interesting read if there was a murder in the story, or perhaps a wacky blueberry waffle snafu on the course.
